Kaden and Rhys' Story

First of all we would like to wish Granny a very Happy Birthday and we are looking forward to spending time with her this weekend as long as the snow doesn’t stop us!!
Today Kaden had his nativity play/christmas party at nursery. He was a Shepard and was really cute in his costume! All the kids done really well and the party afterwards was great fun! Kaden and Rhys both had a ball and were in their beds before 7pm! (here is hoping they don’t get up too early!)
This afternoon after a really bad morning I decided to let Rhys play with the pots and wooden spoons. He had lots of fun banging the spoons together as well as on the pots. He was giggling away until I tried to play with him then the petted lip came out!

Tonight we had home made maccaroni and I cut it into small lumps for Rhys to eat. After feeding him half of his dinner I gave him his bowl and spoon for him to try feed himself! Rhys decided that he didn’t want a spoon and used his hands instead! (same out come…..all gone!)
Today I made some playdough for the boys to play with as the stuff we already had was too hard and dried up to play with. Kaden had fun rolling it out and cutting shapes using his tools and well Rhys decided to eat it! (No surprise!) He had a while playing with it in his hands!
Today we took a wee trip to Ocean Terminal as we knew Santa was there. Kaden was excited when we told him where we were off to and wanted to take a few toys to show Santa, however I managed to convince Kaden that Santa would see them when he cam to drop off a few presents for him and Rhys so Kaden settled with just wearing his Santa hat!! We went to get our tickets and then to Santa’s grotto, we didn’t need to wait too long. Kaden was a little hesitant at first but once I went in with him and Rhys he was chatting away telling Santa that he would like a scooter! Santa said to Kaden he would try his best and would even give him a few surprises! I was pleased with Rhys as he didn’t cry as it was his first time visiting Santa, he even sat on Santa’s knee to get his photo taken, The look on Rhys’s face says mischief to me!
When we got home Kaden and Rhys had their letter from Santa
This afternoon Kaden wrote a letter to Santa with his little list of toys that he would like, he also asked Santa if Rhys could get a toy for the garden as Rhys is too wee to write his own letter! We have also added at the bottom of the letter what Santa might find on his rounds! 
As Kaden is a little older and it’s Rhys 1st Christmas we have decided to do things a little differently this year and begin Christmas a little earlier! We have started off by making decorations for the christmas tree using different materials like salt dough, glitter paint, peralised, paint pens, foam, pine cones, ribbon, gold and silver spray paint. We made lots of different decorations from stockings to snowmen and even gold and silver pine cones. It has taken a couple of weeks to get the decorations ready for the tree this year but we got there in the end and decided to put the tree up early as Kaden has been asking
